AEC
Cancellation Policy is as follows:
For individuals and non chaperoned groups AEC will refund
the full amount of the deposit when notified 8 weeks
prior to the start of the above specified program. From
8 weeks to 4 weeks 50% will be refunded and the last
4 weeks there is NO refund of the deposit. For larger
chaperoned groups the cancellation policy will be determined
on a case by case basis.
Deluxe And Standard Program Information
The deluxe extensive program has been
designed to combine our most requested additional services
into one convenient package. The deluxe features include:
Airport pickup and overnight stay
at our San Jose guest house
Contenintal Breakfast the next
morning
Routing and bus fare to your first
school (does not include return bus trip or transportation
between schools)
Daily Internet access
Laundry service (Dominical only
- host families do your laundry in Turrialba & Arenal).
Weekend full-day adventure tour
All these deluxe features can be purchased
individually.
Flight Arrival/Departure Information:
Before you decide on your flights to Costa Rica please review
the flight arrival and departure options. You will be arriving
in San Jose at the Jaun Santa Maria International airport
(SJO). The majority of our students arrive on the Saturday
before they start their programs. This way it will allow for
pubic bus travel on Sunday. With the airport pickup our staff
will pick you up at the airport and take you to our guest
house in San Jose for the overnight stay. The next day’s
travel will begin with breakfast at the guest house and our
staff leading you to your bus depot for transport to your
first campus.
Your departure time will be determined by what campus you
wish to end at. Please understand that it takes six hours
plus to go from Dominical to San Jose. From the town of La
Fortuna (Arenal area) to San Jose is over three hours of bus
time. From Turrialba you can reach San Jose in little over
an hour. Keep in mind the best time to travel between campuses
is in the mornings so if you want to fly out on Sunday you
normally need to leave your campus on Saturday. If you are
in the Deluxe program with a Saturday adventure tour you should
arrange your departure on late Sunday or early Monday. Please
know this all sounds a little confusing at first but you are
helped by our staff all along the way in getting to your first
campus and departing from your last and all places in between.
