The bus from San Jose to Domincal
is a two-step process.
1. First you need to get a
taxi to the Musoc Bus Station in San Jose. (Buses leave
for the city of San Idsidro every hour on the half hour
starting at 6:30 AM until 9:30 PM.)
Cost = 1750 Colones (
about $3.75).
Aprox time = The trip
lasts 3.5 hours
2. Once in San Isidro you have
two options:
*A. The first is to take a taxi
for the short ride to the Dominical bus station
in San Isidro.
Departure Times to Dominical:
7am, 9am, 1pm, and 4pm only.
Aprox time: The trip
lasts about an hour and a half. (The bus stops at the
San Clemente Restaurant once it crosses the Baru River
and enters Dominical.)
AEC's Dominical school is about a half block back up
the street across from the soccer field.
*B. Your second option in San
Isidro is to take a taxi directly from the Musoc Station
to Dominical. This is especially helpful if you do not
coordinate your arrival in San Isidro with the Dominical
bus.
Aprox time: The taxi
trip lasts about 40 minutes. You will probably need
to negotiate the price with the taxi driver. Do not
agree to a taxi that wishes to charge you over 8,000
Colones or $22.
Once again the school is the right side of the street
just as you turn into the town after crossing the river;
across from the soccer field. |
